Ahmedabad has been officially recognized as the Cleanest Big City in India in the Swachh Survekshan 2024–25 survey conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
Ahmedabad secured the top rank in the category of cities with population over 10 lakh, followed by Bhopal (2nd) and Lucknow (3rd).

The award was given away by President of India Droupadi Murmu. It was received by Gujarat Health Minister Rushikesh Patel and Ahmedabad Mayor Prathibha Jain in Delhi.
