Ahmedabad, September 4, 2025: Ahmedabad Police Commissioner G.S. Malik, IPS has issued a public notification regarding traffic restrictions in the city on September 6, 2025, for the Ganesh Visarjan procession.
The order, under the Gujarat Police Act and Gujarat Motor Vehicle Rules, aims to ensure smooth traffic management, public safety, and law and order during the immersion ceremonies.
Key Restrictions:
- Geeta Mandir (ST Stand) to Jamalpur Bridge: Vehicular movement prohibited.
- Geeta Mandir to Sarangpur Four Roads (via Kalupur Railway Station): No vehicle entry.
- Kalupur Railway Station to Sarangpur Crossroads via Astodia & Khadia: Restricted for vehicles.
- Raipur Four Roads to Kalidas Four Roads via Chakla, Chudi Bazar, Maskati Hospital, ITI Four Roads, Gurukulam Crossroads: Closed for traffic.
Alternative Routes:
Vehicles will be diverted through Kalupur, Dani Limda, Astodia, Gomtipur Railway Crossing, Gheekanta, and Delhi Chakla depending on the route.
The restrictions will remain in force from the morning of September 6 until the conclusion of the Ganesh Visarjan procession.
