ITC Narmada Rings in Diwali Festivities with Ladoo Mixing Ceremony

Patrons and guests come together to make and share over 3,000 traditional Boondi Laddoos

Ahmedabad, 16th October, 2025: Diwali, the festival of lights, is a time for joy, togetherness, abundant laughter and cheer with loved ones and the indulgence of festive delicacies. This year, ITC Narmada, a Luxury Collection hotel in Ahmedabad, ushered in the season of festivities with its annual Ladoo Mixing Ceremony, a heartwarming celebration inspired by the age-old custom of preparing sweets at home with loved ones.

In a delightful twist to the more familiar Christmas Cake Mixing ritual, ITC Narmada invited around 100 patrons, guests, and culinary enthusiasts to participate in mixing and making Boondi Laddoos – a quintessential Diwali delicacy loved across Gujarat.

Under the expert guidance of ITC Narmada’s culinary team, participants mixed approximately 100 kilograms of ingredients, including besan, sugar, jaggery, and an assortment of premium nuts such as cashews, pistachios, melon seeds, and raisins, all bound together in rich ITC Svasti Pure Ghee. The collaborative effort resulted in over 3000 Laddoos, prepared and shared in the spirit of community and celebration.

“These festivities are about reviving joy and tradition in meaningful, memorable ways. Rooted in local culture, the Ladoo Mixing Ceremony is our way of celebrating the togetherness and indulgence that define Diwali, while offering our guests an immersive and festive experience,” said Mr Akshay Kavra, General Manager, ITC Narmada.

The event concluded on a sweet note, with participants, especially children, taking home freshly made Laddoos symbolising the warmth and generosity of the season.
