Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Workshop Held in Gandhinagar for BJP Workers

Today a workshop to provide understanding and training regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll, as announced by the Election Commission of India, was held today at Gandhinagar Town Hall under the chairmanship of Gujarat BJP State President Shri Jagdish Vishwakarma.

Addressing media before the workshop, MP Dr. Hemang Joshi stated:

“Workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party will actively join in the process of Special Intensive Revision. Every booth-level worker will make efforts to create awareness among voters so that no genuine voter is left out of the electoral roll.”

Dr. Joshi further added that the Election Commission has announced SIR for 12 States and Union Territories, including Gujarat, after a long interval. The BJP has organized this state-level workshop to ensure that the party’s workers receive complete understanding of the revision procedures and help in strengthening and correcting voter lists at the booth level.

The objective is to ensure:

  • No eligible voter is omitted from the electoral rolls.
  • Awareness is spread about voter registration and corrections.
  • Booth-level workers assist citizens in the process.

The workshop was held in the presence of:

  • Union Minister Smt. Nimuben Bambhaniya
  • State General Secretary (Organisation) Shri Ratnakar
  • State General Secretaries Shri Rajni Patel and Shri Vinod Chavda
  • MPs, Ministers, MLAs, District Presidents, Prabharis and senior party office-bearers.

The Gujarat BJP Media Department stated that the party will conduct this campaign across the state to ensure accurate, inclusive and updated voter lists.
