Gandhinagar, November 29, 2025: Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University’s Swarrnim Institute of Law commemorated Constitution Day on Thursday with academic and cultural activities. The idea behind the event was to make students understand the importance and relevance of India’s constitutional values. Some 100 students participated in the event, held at the Bhoyan Rathod campus, situated in Adalaj, Gandhinagar.

Dr Dixit Patel, Dean and Principal (in-charge) of Swarrnim Institute of Law gave the opening remarks.
Dr Kanak Makwana, Principal, NavGujarat Law College, Gandhinagar, delivered the keynote address during the ceremony. He talked about the vision of Dr BR Ambedkar and the continuing relevance of the constitutional principles in democracy today.

A panel discussion on ‘Constitution and Modern Challenges’, featuring faculty and student voices on judicial interpretation, constitutional amendments, and contemporary socio-legal issues was also organised. That apart, an interactive quiz on constitutional law and cultural presentations, including skits and patriotic performances, added student-led energy to the celebration.

Ms Deviya Patel, Assistant Professor, served as faculty coordinator, with student coordinator Hitansh Jayswal supporting event execution.
