A mass shooting occurred on Sunday evening, 14 December 2025, at Bondi Beach in Sydney, near the Bondi Park playground/Campbell Parade while a Jewish Hanukkah event (“Chanukah by the Sea” hosted by Chabad of Bondi) was underway. Multiple shots were fired by two armed attackers, causing panic and people fleeing the scene. At least 12 people have been killed, including one of the alleged shooters. Dozens have been injured — reports suggest around 29 people wounded, including children and police officers.
