Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Roll 2025 – Ahmedabad District; update by Collector

Draft Electoral Roll for SIR released in Ahmedabad district by District Election Officer and Collector Shri Sujit Kumar in the presence of representatives of various recognised political parties.

A meeting was organised by the Ahmedabad District Election Officer and Collector Shri Sujit Kumar with representatives of various recognised political parties regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in Ahmedabad district. During the meeting, the draft electoral roll under SIR for Ahmedabad district was officially released.

During the discussion, the District Election Officer and Collector explained in detail the purpose and process of Forms 6, 7 and 8 to the party representatives.


Form 6 is used by eligible citizens to include their names in the voter list,
Form 7 is used to raise objections or remove names from the voter list, while
Form 8 can be used for corrections in the voter identity card, obtaining a new card after the inclusion of name, and for disability-related updates.

Further, information was provided regarding access to the proceedings, photographs and the ASD list, which are made available for public viewing on the following websites:

Additionally, details were shared on voter convenience facilities such as Toll Free Number 1950, the Voter Helpline Application, and information updates made available through social media platforms.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Election Officer Shri Yogesh Thakkar along with representatives of various political parties.
