Ahmedabad, 14 Jan 2026 — Bollywood veteran Rani Mukerji arrived in Ahmedabad to kick off the promotional campaign for her much-anticipated film Mardaani 3 during the city’s vibrant Makar Sankranti / International Kite Festival at the Sabarmati Riverfront.

The festival, which draws kite enthusiasts from across India and the world, provided a spirited backdrop for Mukerji’s arrival. On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, she participated in kite-flying activities and offered festive greetings to the crowd — including flying a giant kite branded with Mardaani 3 — marking the start of the film’s promotional tour from Ahmedabad.

Mardaani 3 is the third installment in the hit action franchise, with Mukerji reprising her role as fearless cop Shivani Shivaji Roy.

The film’s trailer has generated positive buzz, and industry voices have praised its gritty, action-led narrative.

The franchise continues to spotlight strong female protagonists confronting complex social issues.
As part of her visit, Mukerji also participated in SwarrnimTalks at Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University, where she joined IPS officer Parikshita Rathod for an engaging session on leadership, resilience and women-led change, aiming to inspire young innovators and students.

The Ahmedabad event coincides with Mukerji celebrating 30 years in cinema, a milestone she marked with reflections on her journey and the meaningful roles she has portrayed over three decades.
