Air pollution levels have increased significantly across Ahmedabad city, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) crossing alarming levels in many localities, raising health concerns for residents.
According to the latest data, Krishnanagar recorded an AQI of 274, while Gota reported the highest AQI at 296, placing it in the very poor category. Isanpur registered an AQI of 269, and Zundal recorded 209, indicating deteriorating air quality conditions.
Other areas also reported elevated AQI levels. Kathwada recorded an AQI of 196, Hansol 192, Prahladnagar 186, Juhapura 184, Bodakdev 180, and Gyaspur 173. ISRO area recorded an AQI of 171, while India Colony reported an AQI of 219.
Additionally, Judges Bungalow area recorded an AQI of 210, Ghodasar 218, and Wadaj 224, all falling under the poor to very poor air quality category.
Health experts have advised children, elderly citizens, and people with respiratory issues to limit outdoor activities. Authorities are monitoring the situation closely and have urged residents to take necessary precautions as pollution levels continue to rise.
