Amid rising temperatures, a fresh demand has been made to change the timings of primary schools in the interest of students. The Primary Teachers’ Association has written a letter to the Education Minister requesting that all primary schools start morning sessions from March 15.
According to the association, the increasing heat poses a risk of heatstroke for young students, raising concerns about their health and safety. Considering the harsh weather conditions, the teachers have urged the government to shift school timings to earlier hours so that children are not exposed to extreme heat during the day.

The association also mentioned that the revised timings can be arranged in such a way that the required school hours are completed as per the Right to Education (RTE) rules. Now, attention is on the Education Department to see what decision will be taken regarding the request.
