Ahmedabad: After a decisive victory in Gujarat’s local self-government elections, leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) expressed gratitude to the people, calling the results a strong endorsement of development and governance.
Speaking live, Gujarat Minister Harsh Sanghavi said that citizens have once again chosen the path of rapid development. He stated that from villages to cities, the BJP’s symbol has gained widespread support. He credited party workers for their continuous service to people—whether during COVID-19 or natural disasters like floods.

Sanghavi also thanked the people of Gujarat, saying voters have given a strong reply to opposition parties and rejected attempts to mislead them.
Celebrations were seen among party leaders as the state BJP president symbolically offered sweets to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and the Deputy Chief Minister, with leaders congratulating each other on the massive victory.
State BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma said that the 6.5 crore people of Gujarat have blessed the party and reaffirmed their trust in its 30-year development journey. He praised party workers for their tireless efforts across district panchayats, municipal corporations, and municipalities, stating that their hard work has paid off.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, addressing the media, said the victory represents “vision, development, and trust.” He alleged that opposition parties, including the Indian National Congress, attempted to defame Gujarat but failed to connect with people beyond election time.
He added that the overwhelming public support witnessed during his statewide tours has now clearly reflected in the election results.
