Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw visited the Ahmedabad Bullet Train Station construction site to review the progress of ongoing works under the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor and interacted with the engineers and construction teams engaged in one of India’s most ambitious infrastructure projects.
During the visit, Shri Vaishnaw reviewed the construction of the station and associated infrastructure, noting that the Ahmedabad section involves some of the corridor’s most complex engineering works, including multiple crossings over existing railway lines and flyovers. He also assessed the progress of the multi-storey station building and approach infrastructure and directed officials to maintain the pace of execution for timely completion of the project.
The Minister also met the engineers and construction teams working at the site, enquired about their work, well-being and experience, and appreciated their dedication, commitment and relentless efforts in executing the prestigious project. He commended the teams for maintaining the pace of construction and encouraged them to continue upholding the highest standards of safety, quality and engineering excellence. Shri Vaishnaw highlighted that the Ahmedabad Bullet Train Station is being developed as a fully integrated multimodal transport hub, seamlessly connecting the Bullet Train Station with the conventional railway station, Metro and city bus services.
He further noted that the station’s design is inspired by Ahmedabad’s iconic Patang (kite), reflecting the city’s rich cultural identity while incorporating world-class infrastructure and passenger amenities. The visit underscored the Government’s continued commitment, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, to the timely implementation of the Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train project through advanced engineering, integrated transport infrastructure and globally benchmarked passenger facilities.
