A ‘Van Kavach’ (Forest Shield) developed in just 10 months at Kapadvaj in Gujarat’s Kheda district has turned barren land into a thriving green forest using the Miyawaki plantation method.

The initiative, inspired by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s commitment to advancing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Green Growth, has resulted in the plantation of nearly 10,000 trees, creating a dense urban forest that supports biodiversity and helps combat global warming.
The project is being highlighted as an example of Gujarat’s environmental commitment and encourages citizens to participate in tree conservation and plantation efforts to make the state greener and more sustainable.
