PM Narendra Modi Calls for Productive Monsoon Session of Parliament

New Delhi, July 20: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday appealed to all political parties to ensure that the Monsoon Session of Parliament is conducted in a constructive and meaningful manner, emphasizing that healthy debate is the cornerstone of a vibrant democracy.

Addressing the media before the session began, the Prime Minister said Parliament should serve as a platform for thoughtful discussions where every issue is debated with facts, logic, and mutual respect. He urged Members of Parliament to use the session to address issues of public importance and work together in the national interest.

Drawing a comparison with the rainy season, PM Modi remarked that just as a good monsoon strengthens agriculture and boosts the economy, a productive Monsoon Session strengthens democracy and benefits every citizen. He expressed confidence that meaningful discussions and cooperation among political parties would lead to positive outcomes for the country.

The Prime Minister also highlighted India’s recent achievements in areas such as science, technology, and innovation, stating that these accomplishments reflect the nation’s growing capabilities. He said such successes should inspire lawmakers to focus on policies that accelerate India’s development and improve the lives of its people.

Calling for unity beyond political differences, PM Modi said Parliament functions best when members participate with responsibility and sincerity. He noted that experienced legislators from all parties possess valuable insights, and their collective wisdom can help shape better laws and policies.

Reiterating his commitment to democratic values, the Prime Minister expressed hope that the Monsoon Session would witness constructive debates, smooth proceedings, and decisions that contribute to the country’s progress and public welfare.
