On one hand there are attempts made to workout compromise formula by Gujarat government with Patidars at various levels and different round of meetings with state ministers, including meetings with Nitin Patel, Saurabh Patel, Shanker Chaudhary and Bhuepndrasinh Chudasama and Vithal Radadiya.Whereas against cases against 2500 Patidars have been made including 37 Patidars and Lalji Patel of SPG Sardar Patel Group Chief with offenses liable for life imprisonment. The cases were made for charges of setting us on fire, sabotage in Mehsana North Gujarat, Surat and Saurashtra. 19 people have been arrested and 6 days remand have been demanded. In Mehsana 500 people have been booked under setting home minister Rajni Patel’s house on fire.
After Patidar Maha Rally of August 25 and arrest of Patidars, out of which in 22,771 cases with light charges with instructions to district magistrates summary reports were filled with accused not found. Patidars have expressed wrath against government’s double standard, as per source.
