3 kg gold seized from Ahmedabad Airport

Today One passenger was held with 3 kg gold at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad arriving by Sarjah to Ahmedabad flight.

Value of 3 kg gold comes to Rs 81 lakhs in Indian currency.

Gold was hidden in a wire shaped article.
Intelligence Bureau is investigating the case for whom the passenger has brought the gold or it is for self use. For how long he has been into smuggling business is being probed by the agency.
