Following heavy rain in Gujarat and Maharashtra, Eight NDRF National Disaster Response Force teams on alert and kept reserved for Gujarat, NDRF teams sent to Navsari, Surat, Valsad after heavy rains in Valsad district and Gir Somnath. One team is available in Gandhinagar. Weather predictions from IMD are taken for next 48 hours and action plan is generated.
Approximately 64.85 lakh hectares of kharif crop has been planted till July 26 in Gujarat.
