Actor Sidharth Malhotra is Tourism New Zealand’s Indian ambassador from India. It was announced on Thursday. This is the first time that an Indian celebrity has been roped in to promote land of the Kiwis. Sidharth, who will be visiting New Zealand soon, is naturally excited. Being an adventure sport enthusiast, the actor said he was looking forward to trying out a wide range of such activity the country has to offer.
“I have heard from friends about the many activities that New Zealand offers. I am a traveller who believes in experiencing everything that a destination offers, and New Zealand has so much to offer. I am gearing up for some hardcore adventures such as skydive, skywalk and diving, and I can’t wait to experience the local wildlife of the country,” Sidharth said in a statement.
He also had another special reason to be happy about his new role. “I have heard about the food, wine, and the Maori culture the country offers. My fans in New Zealand have already reached out to me and I look forward to interacting with them,” he said.
