Ahmedabad: The Ahmedabad City Crime Branch conducted a raid within the Vejalpur Police Station limits and seized approximately one kilogram of suspected ganja (cannabis), according to sources.
The operation was carried out near Amina Khatun Hospital in the Sonal area by a team led by Crime Branch Police Inspector D.K. Thakar, Police Sub-Inspector D.K. Rathod, and other staff members.
During the raid, the Crime Branch apprehended a suspect identified as Liaqat alias Sanju and recovered the contraband from his possession. The seized substance and the accused have been taken into custody for further legal proceedings.
Officials have initiated further investigation to determine the source of the narcotics and whether any larger drug network is involved. Additional action is being taken in accordance with the law.
