Ahmedabad:Fourteen-year-old Mahi Bhatt from Ahmedabad has brought laurels to India by making a remarkable mark in the field of space science. Mahi has successfully cleared the Junior Scientist examinations conducted by several leading global space agencies, following which the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has invited her to attend a rocket launching programme in the United States.
Mahi, a student of Sharadaba School in Vastral, Ahmedabad, achieved success in the ‘Junior Scientist’ examinations of 50 reputed institutions, including ISRO, NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA). Her exceptional performance in NASA’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programme earned her this prestigious invitation.
As part of the programme, Mahi has already been issued a virtual passport and boarding pass, marking a significant milestone in her journey. She is now set to visit NASA’s headquarters in the United States, where she will witness a rocket launch—an experience that places her among the youngest Indian students to receive such an opportunity.
Mahi Bhatt’s achievement stands as a powerful example that passion for knowledge and dedication can overcome all limitations. Her success has inspired students across Gujarat and the country, reaffirming that talent and determination can open doors to the world’s most advanced scientific institutions, regardless of age or background.
