Ahmedabad: Paresh Rawal at opening of Majja Desi Snackswale outlet

Recently Majja—Desi Snackswale, a quick service restaurant and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tebro Hospitality Pvt. Ltd. based in Mumbai, has rolled out 8 outlets and a food truck in Ahmedabad, marking an entry into Gujarat.

With an objective to dish out authentic flavors in Indian snacks in a hygienic cooking environment, it is targeting the youth and office-goers on the road to scale up business. The brand has also pledged to use original, time-tested ingredients that will be affordable and easy on the pocket.

On offer to begin with are Vada Pav, Idli and Missal and the menu will be expanded gradually to Poha, Upma, Samosa, Patties, Dabeli and Bhajjia in due course.

“After Ahmedabad, we intend to cover the rest of Gujarat soon. Our blueprint has detailed strategies and plans to go national and then international in about 2 years time. Indian snacks have their own legacy but have undergone twists in flavor over the years. Our motto will be to bring back the age old tastes and bust the myth that these are unhealthy,” said Jayesh Vora, Director, Majja.

Majja today inaugurated its outlet at Mansi in Ahmedabad in the presence of actor and Lok Sabha member Paresh Rawal.

“The entire thinking and ideology with which Majja has been created is sure to be a win-win for both the consumers and the promoters. Indian snacking habits are legendary but over the years, most individuals have brought in a sea-change in their food habits owing to health concerns and declining quality. I am happy to know Majja is aiming to raise the bar of hygiene, value for money and preserve the tastes. This is an indulgence worth looking forward to,” said Rawal.
