Today in a historic judgement in Ahmedabad Vastrpur BMW Hit & Run Case, Accused Vismay Shah has been convicted. Shah gets 5 years jail term. Ahmedabad Rural Court at Mirzapur gives quantum of punishment. Shivam and Rahul gets justice after 2 years 4 months 19 days. Punishment in the case will be pronounced by justice PB Patel in afternoon by Ahmedabad Court.
Compensation of Rs 5 lakhs to victims families. Father of Rahul Patel broke out over a question by judge for compensation.
The 27-year-old BMW owner Vismay shah was arrested after he surrendered before Ahmedabad police in connection with a hit-and-run case at judged Bungalow.
One of the victims,Shivam Dave,an engineering student,was killed on the spot.
CCTV footage of a high-speed BMW crashing into the motorcycle of Shivam Dave and Rahul Patel, both aspiring engineers, had shocked Ahmedabad residents in 24 February 2013. While Shivam died on the spot, Rahul succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.
