Amarnath Yatra resumes; helpline numbers 079-23251900; 079-23251902

As per sources from Home Ministry, Amarnath Yatra has been resumed for those who were stranded in Kashmir due to disturbances. The Yatra for pilgrims from Jammu to Amar nath has not started. Due to disturbances in Jammu, many pilgrims from Gujarat were stranded in Kashmir. Incidents of stone throwing were reported on bus of pilgrims. About 4500 pilgrims have been stranded in Pahalgam. They have been kept in relief camp of charitable organisation. In yestreday’s violence police chowky of Kulgam was set on fire. Police chowky in Anantnag was also set on fire. PCR van was attacked in Pulva. 11 people were killed in Kashmir violence till now. 96 security forces out of 126 were injured.
