In Ahmedabad, a press meet on Shobha Yatra on Hanuman Jayanti was held recently. On 19th April, Hanuman Janmam-Utsav or Hanuman Janam-Utsav a Hindu religious festival celebrates the birth of Lord Sri Hanuman, who is immensely venerated throughout India. The festival is celebrated on different days in different parts of India.
Today in Ahmedabad,in Vejalpur area Samrasta Sammelan by Dalits was held using black flag. The program was attended by Gujarat Assembly Speaker Ramanlal Vora and minister Atmaram Parmar. Rowdy scenes of throwing chairs were also reported from the site. Police has arrested more than 30 people in connetion with this incident.
