Today, Amit Shah BJP national president will reach Thiruvananthapuram to address a party agitation and meet Sangh Parivar leaders against the backdrop of elections to localbodies.
Shah would address the party workers, who have laid a siege to the state secretariat since Monday evening in protest against the corruption in Congress-led government and to expose the failure of the CPI (M) to take on the corrupt government. As per BJP sources after the address, Shah would meet leaders of BJP, RSS, VHP and BMS to convey for better co-ordination between Sangh Parivar outfits.
Sources said the election to the local bodies is on the top of the agenda of the meeting. Party would focus on the election to the Thiruvananthapuram municipal corporation, where the BJP has considerable sway.
