Amit Shah Home Minister inaugurates MLA quarters in Gandhinagar built at ₹ 325 crores

On 23 October 2025, Amit Shah (Union Home & Cooperation Minister) inaugurated the new MLA residential quarters in Gandhinagar.  The complex is located in Sector 17 of Gandhinagar. The development is carried out by the Gujarat state government’s Roads & Buildings Department. The scale: 12 blocks (or towers) comprising 216 residential units.

Estimated cost: ₹ 325 crore (in most reports) for the project.

Built on a campus of approximately 28,576 sq metres (about 28.6 k m²) in Sector 17.

The complex is located in Sector 17, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.It is intended for the elected Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) of Gujarat.

The project was developed by the Gujarat state government’s Roads & Buildings Department.

The total built‐up or campus area is about 28,576 square metres. The investment cost is estimated at around ₹ 325 crore. The complex consists of 216 residential units arranged in 12 blocks / towers.

Each unit is about 238.45 sq metres (≈2,570 sq ft) in many reports. Internal layout: 3 bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, office/waiting room, and a servant’s room. ·  Parking: Each unit is allocated two parking spaces—one in the basement and one on the ground floor.

Each apartment is a three‐bedroom flat (3BHK) spread over about 238.45 sq metres (~2,500 sq ft).

Some sources mention a carpet area of about 170.32 sq metres for the units (likely net usable area). The layout includes: a living room, kitchen, dining area, an office/waiting area, servant’s room, balcony, dressing room, two toilets — all modern amenities.
