On Wednesday, GPCC, President Arjun Modhwadia conducted a Press briefing in which he criticised, BJP lead government for a recent and fake gangrape case on minority girl initially lodged in Surat wherein 50 persons were made accused. Modhwadia said later on Surat Police Commissioner refuted that no such incident has ever happened. He added BJP had tried to repeat UP episode which happened during general elections and attempted to disrupt communal harmony in the state and tried to take political gain out of it. Modhwadia informed on an average 1 rape incident per day takes place in Gujarat and presented the figures on rape in last 5 years in Gujarat.
Amiben,legal consulatant raised questions to Gujarat Government on protect of women of minority community and prevent from incidents like gangrape and physical expliotation.
