Asia Cup 2025 Team India Announced; SKY Captain & Gill Vice Captain

Surya Kumar Yadav has been named captain of India’s 15-member squad for the Asia Cup 2025, to be held in the UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi) from September 9 to 28. Shubman Gill has been appointed vice-captain, returning to the T20 format after focusing on Tests and the Champions Trophy earlier this year.

Major Highlights from the Squad are The squad was revealed during a press conference held in Mumbai, led by captain Suryakumar Yadav and BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar. The final 15-member squad includes a mix of experienced stars and exciting new talents, and notably, Shreyas Iyer and Yashasvi Jaiswal were surprisingly left out. The squad also features the return of Jasprit Bumrah, along with players like Kuldeep Yadav, Hardik Pandya, and Sanju Samson.

The selection sparked buzz, especially around the omission of popular contenders and the reshuffle in leadership roles.
