The Election Commission of India is likely to announce the dates for Bihar assembly polls on Wednesday. The Commission will reportedly announce poll dates at 2:30 pm today.The term of the 243-member Bihar assembly ends on November 29.As per reports Bihar polls may be held in 5 or 6 phases and are likely to be held from the 3rd week of October to the 1st week of November.
All political parties contesting in Bihar have demanded CRPF, CISF and BSF forces for the security of polls.
There is a tough competition likely between ruling NDA/BJP and local parties lead by Lalu Yadav.
