In 3 Talukas of Chhota Udepur District, Under the Sukhi Reservoir Scheme, for Irrigation Purpose, Canals were Allocated Costing of Rs 225 Crores, out of which Rs 117 Crores worth of Construction was done. Shivalaya Infra Project, Built Inferior Canals poorly, deposited Rs 38 lakhs and AB Patel deposited Rs 7 lakhs to BJP.
An Impartial Investigation into Yet Another Scam Worth Crores of Rupees in line with the BJP’s policy of “Chanda Do… Dhandha Lo”, Demanded Manish Doshi GPCC Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee’s Media Convener and Spokesman.
Doshi said that the Office of the Executive Engineer of the Irrigation Department in the Sukhi Reservoir Project was given Administrative Approval for Works Worth Rs. 225 Crores by the Secretary of the Irrigation Department on September 13, 2023.
For which Tenders were issued for constructing Two Package Canals of Rs. 117 Crores. An Agency Named Shivalaya Infra of Vadodara was given a Work Order of Rs. 70 Crores on March 15, 2024 for the Construction of 21 Km long Canals and Payment of Rs. 68 Crores was also Made.
Apart from this, in the Second Package, a Work Order of Rs 47 Crores was given to an Agency named SB Patel of Vadodara on December 3, 2024 which been given a Deadline of December 2, 2025 to Complete the work and Rs 18 Crores has also been Paid to it. Corruption has been exposed as Large Patches have been Found in the Canals due to Improper Work Done by Both the Agencies.
Engineers of the QC Quality Control Office have been Assigned to Investigate the Corruption and Concrete Samples of the Canals built in 3 Talukas of Chhota Udepur district and the Canals built in Jambughoda taluka of Panchmahal district have been taken for Testing. After 40 years, the Canal works were Taken Up and Corruption has also been Found in them.
During the Canal Construction, Soil and Water SprayingWwork is Not Done Adequately, Even Before the Water is Released into the Canal, Big Patchs have Started Appearing in the Canal.
