Third edition of the annual sporting event features nine disciplines across 10 teams, with basketball and football making their debut
Ahmedabad, 22nd September, 2026: Chiripal Group is hosting the third edition of Chiripal Spark 2026, its annual sporting event bringing together more than 600 employees from across 33 Group entities for a month-long programme of competition and team participation.
The event, which began on September 5, is witnessing participation from 600+ employees competing across 10 teams. Sporting activities are being held at Ahmedabad Racquet Academy, Shanti Asiatic School and Ahmedabad Sports Academy, with venues supporting competitions across different disciplines.
Held under the theme “PLAY. PERFORM. PERSEVERE.”, this year’s edition features nine sporting events namely, badminton, carrom, chess, running, table tennis, basketball, box cricket, football and volleyball. Basketball and football have been introduced for the first time this year, expanding the event’s line-up of team sports.
Badminton marked the start of the sporting calendar on September 5. Competitions across the remaining disciplines are continuing through September, with employees from different businesses and functions competing for their respective teams.

The 10-team format is adding a competitive element to the month-long event, with employees participating across individual and team disciplines while supporting their respective teams. The initiative is also providing employees from different Group businesses, an opportunity to interact through sport.
Now in its third edition, Chiripal Spark is continuing to serve as an employee engagement initiative focused on participation, wellbeing and collaboration across the Group.
