Today CID Crime branch busted Oil theft scam in Gandhidham. 13 persons arrested with valuables worth Rs. 2 crores including cash of Rs 7.50 lakhs, 6 oil tankers, drums etc found.
Main accused Bharat Aahir is absconding.
Daily oil theft from 40 to 50 oil tankers was done. Oil tankers were parked alongside of the road and oil theft was done by a gang.
High level of officers of oil company in Kandla and Anjar are involved in the scam. Further investigation is going on.
