Class 12 examination schedule announced by Gujarat Education Board

Today GSHSEB Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board in Gandhinagar issued a press release by examination section on the examination schedule for Class 12 and Class 10 ( Repeater, private, external students) for the academic year 2021.

In wake of Coronavirus pandemic, GSHSEB announced that Class-12 examination will be held during 1st July 2021 to 16th July 2021.

For quite sometime, in Covid scenario government was unable to decide on whether or not the examinations for board students be held in larger interest of their career opportunity ,which was a matter of constant worry for all including government, teachers and students – parents community so now it has to happy end.

No class 12th exams this year. Decision taken in a meeting chaired by Prime Minister.It has been decided to cancel standard-12 CBSE board examination.

Health and safety of our students is of utmost importance and there would be no compromise on this aspect, says PM Modi . Anxiety among students, parents & teachers must be put to an end. Students should not be forced to appear for exams in such a stressful situation.

State government has announced to conduct class 12 science stream, general stream and arts stream and vocational stream examinations as the number of Coronavirus cases in Gujarat is declining. The exams are scheduled to be held from July 1-16, the timetable of which has been announced by the government. Simultaneously Standard 10 (Repeater and private timetable also announced).

Class-12 Science examinations will be held from 1st July to 10th July. The normal time for this test is from 2.30 am to 6.00 pm. Computer paper in this exam will be taken in OMR method only while the other two parts will be taken. Only brown or black ballpoint pens should be used for OMR.

First part of science exam will have 50 questions which will be taken from OMR and its duration will be 60 minutes. While Part B will have descriptive questions which will be between 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm. Students arrive 45 minutes before the exam day, students coming late by 30 minutes will not be given entry.

Class 12 General Stream, General Stream and Vocational Stream Examinations will be held from 1st July to 16th July. In which exam time is kept in two slots. This time is from 10 to 1:15 pm while for other papers the time is kept from 2:30 pm to 5:45 pm.

Examination of class 12 vocational subjects will start from 5th July. However, examination will be conducted in Agriculture Group, Commerce Group, Home Science Group, System Group which is scheduled from 2:30 pm to 5:45 pm.
