Cold wave returns in Gujarat, relief from severe cold from January 17

Cold is still prevailing in Gujarat including Ahmedabad. Most parts of the state are feeling cold even during day time due to cold wave. Mercury was below 10 degrees in nine cities of state including Ahmedabad. The coldest part was recorded in Naliya with 4.2 degrees celsius across Gujarat. However, Meteorological Department has said that in next 24 hours, the temperature in state will increase and the cold will decrease.

It is to be noted that unbearable cold has increased in Gujarat this year. And, it also got colder on the day of Uttarayan and Vasi Uttarayan. Along with this, the cold is being felt across Gujarat due to cold winds. The meteorological department has stated that after Makarsankrati, the cold will decrease. In the next 3 to 4 days, according to meteorological department,minimum and maximum temperatures will increase and cold will decrease in entire states including Kutch and Rajasthan respectively. The maximum temperature will gradually increase from 2 to 4 degrees. In addition, according to weather agency, two western disturbances likely to occur on 16th and 18th, so there is no possibility of unseasonal rain in Gujarat.
