Due to prevailing disturbed situation in Gujarat state, Internet services were discontinued. They were to be resumed from Monday. There is a likelyhood of further disturbing the situation. However, in general there is normalcy. SMS service has been resumed in the state. Though Police Commissioner may take decision on Mobile Internet.It is Commissioner’s purview to resume net services. At district level decision will be taken by collector, if required will consult Home Ministry. From Mobile Internet rumors spread easily which hampers normalcy. Therefore, Mobile Internet services and social sites were blocked for last one week. Gujarat High Court asked authorities to prevent from unwanted elements taking advantage of the situation.
