In Ahmedabad, preparations for 138th traditional Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath starting from Jagannath Temple will take procession in walled city area of Ahmedabad.
On the ocasion of Rath Yatra in Ahmedabad Muslim people gave Silver Chariot to Mahant Dilipdasji of Jagannath temple and cited example of communal harmony. This year, Rath Yatra and Eid falls on the same day of July 18.
For the past several years, Muslim leaders visit Jagannath temple and give silver chariot to temple.
