Congress deliberates on candidature of Opposition Leader in state assembly

Today in Ahmedabad at Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan GPCC former union minister Jitendra Singh meets all elected MLAs. Gujarat Congress President Bharatsinh Solanki and Gujarat Congress Incharge Ashok Gehlot precided over the meeting.

Congress MLAs unanimously suggested their CLP leader and other office bearers for newly elected in state assembly election 2017.

Four Congress MLAs including Kuvarji Bawaliya, Mohansinh Rathva, Paresh Dhanani and Virji Thummar are in race and have claimed their candidature as opposition leader in state assembly.

Jitendra Singh will seek view of all MLAs by seeking their feedback.

While finalizing the name, strategy of fight 2019 elections would also be kept in mind.

However, the name will be finalized after consulting party high command briefed Solanki.
