The plan is to vaccinate 16 lakh people daily said Dr. Jayanti Ravi, Principal Secretary, Department of Health, Gujarat said that vaccine will be available in short time to protect the citizens against the global epidemic.
Government plans for vaccination, According to the guideline, state health department has already made preparations. A dry run-mock drill has been organized to administer the vaccine under guidance of the government. It is being held between 5th and 6th December. He added that central government has selected four states for this, including Gujarat. The dry run will be held in Andhra Pradesh, Punjab and Assam including Gujarat.


The dose of this vaccine should be taken twice in twenty eight days at intervals of 15 days. Even after the vaccination, Corona’s protocol must be strictly adhered to, the standard must be adhered to, use of sanitizers and proper social data must be followed. It is very important to get the cooperation of the citizens. For this vaccination, 15,000 vaccinators have been trained in Gujarat. 100 people will be vaccinated in one day from one center. It is planned to vaccinate 1.5 million people daily.


Government of India has decided to run a dry run for different vaccination procedures before implementing COVID-19 vaccination program in the country. For this, four states of the country have been selected, Gujarat has been included in the list. In Gujarat, dry run is being held in Gandhinagar city and district and in Rajkot city and district. In both cases, 19 session sites have been identified for vaccination. The connections between planning, implementation and reporting process of vaccination under dry run are being tested. Not only this, the actual implementation of vaccination can be studied before the challenges and solutions.
Total 475 beneficiaries have been identified for the dry run with 25 beneficiaries for each session site. Each session site is monitored by officials from the Department of Health and Family Welfare as well as UNDP, UNICEF and WHO.
Feedback will be prepared during trial and feedback will be forwarded to the Government of India. India is a leader in research on Coronavirus vaccine. Two vaccines in India are in Phase-III and three vaccines are in the final stages of research.


Covid vaccine will be available in India in a short time, while Gujarat government is planning an effective and result-oriented plan for vaccination. At state level for the vaccination campaign, a meeting of State Steering Committee is held twice a week under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary,Health.

Meetings of State Task Force are being held under the chairmanship of Jayati Ravi. At present, there are 6 vaccine stores of zone level and 41 vaccine stores at district and corporation level and 2189 code chain points available for vaccine storage in Gujarat. All the equipments at these stores have been audited.
Till date, total 4.31 lakh data on Care Workers-Health Workers have been collected. Data of 6.3 lakh frontline workers have been collected, in addition details of 1.3 crore persons above 50 years of age have been collected and there are only 2.68 lakh persons of other age groups of 19 persons with other ailments. Doctors gave detailed information about Gujarat in context of vaccination. Health Commissioner Jayprakash Shivhare and Director National Mission Mukesh Padya were also present.
