This Diwali marks Vikram Samvat Gujarati year of 2077. Shaka samvat and Vikram samvat are based on lunar months and solar years.

People celebrate the festival in big way. They exchange sweets with each other. They consume sweets. Decorate their houses and light lamps in the evening. Worship goddess Lakshmi.

Due to Coronavirus pandemic this year people will celebrate Diwali in simple manner by following Covid-19 guidelines for going to temple for darshan and during shopping.
