Today in Gandhinagar, it was announced by Regional Officers that Food Security Act will be applicable in Gujarat state with effect from April 1, 2016. It was confirmed by Civil supplies authorities. Benefit of Food Safety Act in Gujarat will be extended to 4 crore people BPL Below Poverty Line.
