Eid-ul-Fitr celebrated globally today

Today festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the culmination of the fasting month of Ramzan, is being celebrated across India. Eid celebrated after a month-long period of fasting.

In Ahmedabad, Muslims offer namaz at Jama Masjid. They greet and hug each other on this day.

Eid -ul-Fitr also called the “Festival of Breaking the Fast”, a religious holiday celebrated by Muslims globally.

Delhi’s Jama Masjid Shahi Imam, Syed Ahmed Bukhari Saturday announced that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on May 25 as moon was not visible today. He further appealed to people to take precautions and maintain social distancing amid Covid-19 outbreak. We should stay away from shaking hands and hugging. We should follow government’s guidelines Bukhari said.
