Today in Morbi, Farmers throw vegetables on road, demanding to solve unresolved issues of agriculture insurance, water for irrigation, loan waiver and fodder.
Farmers from Morbi gathered in front of Morbi Collector office and protested carrying banners. Farmers group gave memorandum to the Collector.
As per farmers, they are not getting adequate rates for their produce of tomato, onion, garlic and brinjal. It is difficult to survive on farming and no farmers are interested in doing farming.
Protest was supported by Congress party men.
Farmers want Morbi to be declared as scarcity hit and MSP Minimum Sell Price of agriculture produce be worked out by Gujarat government.
