Former IPS Sanjiv Bhatt detained by police in 1998 fake narcotics case

In 1998 fake narcotics case on a lawyer over possession of a property , Former IPS Sanjiv Bhatt among 7 other police staff were detained by police today morning. CID Crime has taken Sanjiv in their custody for investigation.  In 1998, Bhatt was then SP in Banaskantha.

At the time of raid by police, accused lawyer was in Pali. On which other lawyers protested against Bhatt and insisted to transfer the case in Rajasthan.

On directive from Gujarat High Court CID Crime branch is investigating the case. Bhatt could be arrested in the case by today evening.

Bhatt has been in controversy many times.
