Today starcast of Badhaai Ho movie featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra alongwith director Amit Sharma and co-stars Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao.
All the stars and actors were in very good mood and they interacted with GujaratHeadline in very friendly and lighter way.
The film is a family entertainer portraying a unique situation of 50 year old mother expecting a baby when her son is of marriageable age and the related issues and timing of each characters.
Lead star Ayushmann said it was good to work on a different film, trying to show something new in a society. He sang the song “Badhaiyaan Tenu” from his film.
Ayushmann is quite familiar with Gujarat, as he has been before to Gujarat many times. First time he came here during India’s Got Talent. He has studied in Gujarat at MICA. He has done MICA Radio programme and talked to people from village in the program. He loves Ahmedabad city. He enjoyed film making throughly as he could do exercise go to gym, play cricket and meet friends during making of the film. He got ample of time.
Sanya has played a role of Ayushmann’s girl friend in the movie, who does not have any problem if his would be mother-in-law is pregnant. She was very excited to visit Gujarat. She loves Dhokla and Khandvi.
Director said that the film is a family entertainer and serves humor with an aspect of a situation when a 50 year old mother gets pregnant. Director quoted a few examples of his own life and others of having seen such a situation. Director Sharma said my writers Akash and Shantanu brought me a brilliant idea of mother expecting at the age of 50 and hilarious situation thereafter.
Gajraj Mr kaushik plays a role of Railway employee whose wife Priyamavada gets pregnant at the age of 50, on which all the persons in family has problemsof facing society except Mr Kaushik. He belongs to Gujarat and has many relatives here. He could speak little bit of Gujarati.
Neena Gupta nicely portrayed and aptly played a role of 50 year old preganant lady. Who is loved very much by her husband.
Nani to serves humour with a dialogue, Tuze Time Kab Milya and Gajraj saying ‘Koi Mehman Aa Raha Hai Ghar Par.. and he coolly replies Chhota Bachcha to his question Kaun Aa Raha Hai?
Script of the movie was written in almost 2 years time.
The movie is releasing in theaters on 19th October 2018 on Dusshera. Stars and entire cast and crew appealed to watch movie in theaters.
#MeToo reactions
Ayushmann said it is good that the campaign of MeToo is happening, it should be carried out in all the fileds. It is a good and positive move by government.
Sanya also supported the drive and said that government is taking good initiative.
Gajraj Rao also said it should be done for all the fields, many times in family their sexual or child abuse tried to buried under the caret because of reputation of family.
Director Amit Sharma, appreciated and welcomed the drive by government.
Neena Gupta called the move as very positive and supported it.
