Today 73rd AGM Annual General Meeting of GCCI Gujarat Chamber of Commerce Industry and Inauguration of office bearers for the year 2022-24 was held in Ahmedabad at Karnavti club on SG Highway.
The 73rd Annual General Meeting of GCCI for the year 2023-24 and Inauguration of new office bearers was held today on 12th July 2023 at Karnavati Club, Ahmedabad. A large number of trade and industry representatives from across Gujarat attended the meeting.

During the AGM President Mr Pashchik Patwari briefed about milestone events and activities held during the year and thanked all the members and individuals who contributed to make his tenure a success. Annual accounts and other matters were unanimously approved by the members in AGM.



Mr Ajaybhai Patel assumed charge as the new President of CCI for year 2023-24, while Mr Sandeep Engineer assumed charge as Senior Vice President and Mr Mihir Patel as Vice President. Names of the newly elected members of Executive Committee were also announced at the Meeting.

Inauguration ceremony of the new office bearers was organized after AGM in which Gujarat Chief Minister of Gujarat Mr. Bhupendrabhai Patel was Chief Guest of the function, while Mr. Pankajbhai Patel, Chairman of Zydus Group and Chairman of Empowered Apex Committee of GCCI was the Chief Guest.

Respectable Shri Brahmavihari Swami, International Spokesperson of BAPS Swaminarayan Institute was also present and blessed the new team of GCCI. Mr. Paschik Patwari welcome the guests to the event and thanked all members for their support, cooperation and active participation throughout the year. He mentioned that we are currently at the beginning of fourth industrial revolution, where information, R&D, Technology and Artificial Intelligence will be critical factors for the success of businesses. He further said that this is the time when we have to play five T20 matches within one Test match, which means we have to be prepared for any uncertainty at all times. He appealed to the members to see change as an opportunity and not as a challenge and always think positive and keep global markets in mind. He further added that the Prime Minister has set a target of making India a 5 trillion dollar economy by 2027 and with significant contribution from Gujarat. We have to work together to achieve this goal. He mentioned his special association with the stalwarts on the stage and their support and guidance. The newly elected Senior Vice President Mr. Sandeep Bhai Engineer in his address mentioned how he successfully faced hurdles in his career and emerged as a successful business group. He further said that by diversifying the business by using branding and marketing at the right time and in the right way. It has helped in expanding their business.



He said that it was a great learning opportunity for him under the leadership of the new President Mr. Ajaybhai Patel. Due to his company’s presence across India, he has a good experience of the policies and practices of different states which he will use for the benefit of Hawa and its members. He also mentioned the support and guidance of Mr. Pankajbhai Patel in his business journey.

The newly elected President Mr. Ajaybhai Patel in his address welcomed dignitaries present and thanked all the members for the trust reposed in him. He mentioned various initiatives to take place during the year. He said that the priority will be to provide guidance and support to small and small business units during the year. President Patel added that efforts will be made to connect small businesses across Gujarat through nominal membership introduced by KADA. Sameer. It further added that Ladda will also work for Big units and try to act as a bridge between large industries and the government so that they can successfully compete in global markets. He said that Lagra will play an active role in the Vibrant Gujarat Summit and provide all necessary support to the government. He also mentioned that the fight would be to identify and tap opportunities in emerging sectors such as Defense, Aerospace and also promote the startup ecosystem in Gujarat. He further added that his vast experience of leading prestigious organizations in key industry sectors like banking, sports and charitable organizations will be utilized for the benefit of Harda and its members. He congratulated elected office bearers. In his keynote address President mentioned the qualities of a successful leader and said that a true leader does not create followers but creates new leaders. He advised the newly elected office bearers to work for the people and keep in mind the overall well-being of trade and industry by living above their achievements. On the other hand, he advised the members to remain united and protect their dreams and aspirations.

Chief Guest of the function, Mr. Pankajbhai Patel, in his address mentioned that the Chamber should also present its solution to make presentations before Sarsarthi. He said the chamber should consider all aspects of the issue before making a submission. He further stated that honesty, respect and fairness are important prerequisites for success. He Further stated that like the Government, the Chamber should create a manifesto and target for solutions that affect everyone and should think about each member society and its responsibilities towards it.
GCCI’s new logo was launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat and Chief Guest of the event Mr. Bhupendrabhai Patel. GCCI’s new logo features a map of Gujarat, sun rays, a gear and a lion. The map represents the glorious state of Gujarat, while the sun rays represent the progressive approach towards economic empowerment and the rising energy. The gear represents all industries, from small to large, while the lion represents strength and courage. Blue symbolizes authority, responsibility, strength, professionalism and trust. Hon’ble Chief Minister Mr. Bhupendrabhai Patel in his keynote speech mentioned that Gujarat is developing rapidly in every field and the state of Gujarat is benefiting from the important steps of the Central Government working under the successful leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr Narendra bhai Modi. He further said that the state’s collection was the highest in April, indicating that trade and industry are in good shape due to the incentives provided by the Gujarat government.
