German National Tourist Office India Road Show

Recently in Ahmedabad, GNTO the German National Tourist Office in India was commenced. Purpose to setup the The German National Tourist Office is to provide information on Trade opportunities with Germany and promote tourism of Germany in India.

Germany saw 30 % increase in tourists to their country from India. In 2017 from January to May, there were 3,29.860 tourists to Germany.

GNTO had started an annual event Discover Germany Road Show from 5th September in Delhi. The Road Show ended in Mumbai on 8th September. With rising interest of Indian Tour Operators in current year’s Road Show 2 more German partners McArthurGlen Design Outlets and Vienna House joined the show. There were 7 German partners including Maritime Hotels, KD German Rine Line, Lufthansa German Airlines, Rail Europe, Cologne Tourism, Saxony Tourism and Stuttgart Germany.

Luisa Zimmermann Manager International Sales, Matthias Simmer, Regional Travel Marketing Manager, Gregor Gosciniak,Letter Marketing Head of Marketing, Mark Spivey Director of International sales and Romit Theophilus Director of Marketing & Sales Office India were among a few to represent various trade and travel entities.

On 6th September, a press conference in the city was held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel was held to brief about opportunities of Trade and Tourism with Germany.
