Today in Ahmedabad, Chief Minister Anandiben Patel dedicated development works worth Rs.208-crore undertaken by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) to people of Gujarat.
Developmental projects include grade separator at the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway and Thaltej Road Crossing near the Gurudwara built at a cost of Rs.66-crore, renovated MJ Library, primary schools at Ghuma and Vastrapur. CM Anandiben laid down foundation stone for renovation of Lake and Flyover on Sardar Patel ,SP Ring Road.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said it is the responsibility of government to provide amenities for welfare of people. In turn, it is duty of every citizen to help government in maintaining cleanliness and beauty. She appealed to people to donate generously towards constructing toilets.
Though Ahmedabad is rapidly growing, a number of industrial units are being set up to create new jobs and at same time develop the skill of the workers, said Anandiben. She said that government is committed to build a model state as envisioned by Narendra Modi, with hand in hand. She briefed on various welfare activities undertaken by the government.
Minister Nitin Patel, Roads & Building said that flyovers and underpasses are built on highways passing through the cities, through ‘grade separator’ which was inaugurated today.
Others diginitaries at the occasion were Minister of State Jaydrathsinh Parmar, AUDA Chairman, MP, MLA, Deputy Mayor and Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner.
