Gujarat CM E-Launched 11 Eco-Friendly projects on World Environment Day

On 5th June World Environment Day Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel emphasized transforming the fight against single-use plastic into a mass movement. He declared the installation of cloth bag vending machines and plastic bottle crushers in Gujarat to promote sustainable habits. The event was termed a ‘Zero Waste’ event, utilizing recyclable materials and distributing eco-friendly items like cloth bags, plantable pens, and recycled notepads to visitors.

Further accelerating efforts for environment conservation in the state, total 11 Eco-Friendly projects including bag vending machines at Ahmedabad and Olpad, new regional offices and air laboratories of GPCB at Ahmedabad, Bharuch and Morbi, Common Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) at Halol and Waste Oil Collection Centre of Gujarat Oil Recycling Association (GORA) were E-Launched/ Also MoU Memorandum of Understanding was signed between CETP and its member units for effluent trading at Surat.
