Today Gujarat Chief Minister launched Cataract Blindness Free state campaign. The state launched a campaign to make Gujarat a Cataract Blindness Free under National Programme for Control of Blindness program. Necessary Infrastructure developed at Taluka and District level hospital.
Gujarat is first state to provide free IOL Intraocular Lens after Catarct operation. Realising dream of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi in fulfilling the commitment made by Gujarat for building a Cataract Blindness Free nation. Target is to reduce blindness rate to 0.25 % by year 2025.
