Gujarat govt’s 11 IAS Officers were transferred

On Thursday , 11 IAS Officers of Gujarat govt were transferred.

1988 batch IAS officer S Aparna as principal secretary to Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel. Aparna has replaced G C Murmu who went on central deputation last week.

Arvind Agrawal, additional chief secretary (ACS) in education department, has been appointed ACS, industries and mines, which is said to be his interest area.

Atanu Chakraborty, principal secretary (industries and mines) was holding charge of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC) as MD. He has now been appointed fulltime MD of GSPC.

Sujit Gultai, 1985 batch IAS officer, was appointed in Agrawal’s place as principal secretary, education (primary and secondary). Gultai returned from central deputation to his parent cadre on Thursday.

Manoj Agrawal (1990 batch), settlement commissioner and director of land reforms, has been appointed MD of GMDC. He will also continue to hold his current charge till further orders.

Sanjay Kaul, MD of Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd (TCGL), has been transferred as MD, Gujarat Informatics Ltd (GIL).

V Thiruppugazh, commissioner of rural development and secretary in panchayat, rural housingand rural development department, has been transferred as director general of Gandhi Labour Institute.

Manoj Kumar, joint MD of GSPC, has been transferred to the post of principal secretary, food and civil supplies and consumer affairs.

T Natarajan, commissioner, geology and mining (CG&M), has been appointed as secretary, finance department (economic affairs). He will also hold additional charge of CG&M.

Sonal Mishra, secretary, tourism and Devasthan Management and Pilgrimage, has been appointed MD, GIPL, Vadodara. Her charge has been given to Arvind Agrawal.

Arun Solanki, principal secretary, animal husbandry, cow breeding, fisheries and cooperation, has been appointed PS, agriculture and cooperation. He will continue to hold his current portfolio as additional charge.

N Shrivastav (IFS officer), CEO of Gujarat Medicinal Plants Board and former MD of Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Ltd, has been appointed MD of Tourism Corporation.
